On Saturday, September 23, 2023, the district's Board of Education, teachers and staff, and community members met for a full day of Strategic Planning. The group reviewed the district's mission statement, its strengths, challenges, opportunities, and threats. There was great discussion throughout the day on dozens of topics that affect the teaching and learning at Colona Grade School. The event was led by Ralph Grimm (a retired Superintendent and current IASA Field Supervisor). After deep discussion, the process helped the Committee to identify key areas to focus on when moving forward. This work planted many seeds for the Committee to monitor in the months and years ahead.
