Were you an elementary student at Colona Grade School during the 1985–1986 school year? You may have helped Mrs. Gellerman paint this board in preparation for the January 28, 1986, launch of the space shuttle Challenger. This piece has hung on our wall for 40 years. As we update our building, we want it to go home with someone who helped create it. Complete the survey questions below by July 17, 2026, for a chance to receive this unique piece of history.
2026-2027 Registration
Our annual registration and residency event on July 8th was a big success. Families who were not able to attend the event have been encouraged to call the district office to schedule an appointment on/before July 24th to finalize this process.
Unfortunately, we still have some families who we have not heard from. Please call the district office to schedule an appointment on/before July 24th. Families who have not completed the online process in TeacherEase and have not shown proof of residency are not enrolled. As a result, students from those families will not be able to participate in the Backpack Night event on Monday, August 3rd. We want all of our students to start school on day #1, but we will not assign students to a teacher’s roster until the kids have been fully registered.
